# Export your data as CSV

> Export your prospect lists from Airscale as CSV files for use in email marketing tools, CRMs, or further analysis. This feature lets you download all enriched data while giving you full control over which contacts and columns to include

##### When to export as CSV

* To launch **email campaigns** in external tools
* To **import data into CRMs** not directly integrated with Airscale
* To **analyze data** in Excel, Google Sheets, or analytics tools
* To **keep local backups** of your prospect data
* To **share prospect lists** across teams and departments

## 1. Choose the rows to export

Open your table and select the rows you want to export. To export the full filtered view, clear the row selection before opening Export.

## 2. Open Export and choose a format

Click **Export** in the table toolbar. Choose **Download as CSV** or **Download as XLSX** from the export menu.

Use **CSV** for imports into CRMs, email tools, and other applications. Use **XLSX** when you want an Excel workbook.

**CSV (recommended):**

* Universal compatibility with most email tools and CRMs
* Smaller file size for large datasets
* Easy to open in Excel, Google Sheets, or text editors
* Best for automated imports and integrations

**XLSX:**

* An Excel workbook containing the exported column headers and values
* Useful for reviewing and editing data in Excel
* Exports data values, without preserving Airscale's table styling or creating Excel formulas

## 3. Download your file

Choosing the format starts the export. Airscale prepares the file in the background and starts the download when it is ready. Large exports can take longer to prepare.
